BIG CAPACITY: the 120mm travel and progressive geometry make the Epic 8 extremely capable on technical trails, very fast and efficient uphill, and incredibly reactive and snappy in acceleration. The torsional and lateral stiffness also ensure perfect handling precision. With a 130mm-travel fork, the Epic 8 EVO handles the roughest descents.
WHAT IMPACTS? : Compared to the previous model, the Epic 8 absorbs 12% more impact forces and vibrations, so you tire less and can better use energy to push harder on the pedals.
RIDE DYNAMICS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team developed a custom tune for the Epic 8 shock, elevating the holistic riding experience. The specific tune developed together with the lever ratios and the refreshed kinematics exponentially improves handling.
BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimizing the Epic 8’s kinematics, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team reduced pedal-induced movement by 20% while keeping the suspensions active for more effective impact management.
