Explosive acceleration, magic in the turn, sublime on rough roads, all with tubeless system performance. For climbs these wheels have not a gram of extra weight, because perfection is reached when you can’t remove anything else.
Lightness alone isn’t enough to obtain the responsiveness and handling of the tubeless Alpinist CLX II wheels. The pair was designed as a system and our engineers tested every part – the hubs, the rims, the spokes – and development started from the Tubeless tires. The result is a wheelset weighing 1250 grams, with unrivaled handling.
The tooth design of the Alpinist CLX II (which allows reaching a pressure of 110 psi if that’s what you want) ensures perfect tire grip and easy installation. All this in a light wheelset that exceeds current durability standards by almost twofold.
The new AF hubs are 50 grams lighter than the previous Alpinist CLX hubs. Bearings are SINC Ceramic, internals DT Swiss EXP.

The SPECIALIZED RAPIDE CL II 700C REAR WHEEL features the same tubeless-ready rim as the Rapide CLX II. Thanks to an algorithm used in modelling, capable of calculating real-world reaction times, it was possible to design a rear rim to reduce turbulence. Since the rear wheel does not affect steering, the depth of the rear rim does not impact handling.This wheel is hand-built, equipped with the DT Swiss 350 hub with Star Ratchet 36t and straight-pull Competition Race spokes. The tubeless setup offers lower rolling resistance, more maneuverability, and greater puncture protection.The rim with tooth (which allows reaching a pressure of 110 psi if that’s what you want) ensures a perfect tire seal and simple installation.
