Speedy Mousse was founded by Luigi Mazzoni and Giuseppe Zecchi, two old childhood friends who reunited in their senior years with the spirit of two eighteen-year-olds, pursuing entrepreneurship and innovation in the sector they have loved all their lives.
Luigi and Giuseppe attended elementary and middle school in the same class and began racing motorcycles in 1973 with 50cc "Romeo Fabrizio" motorcycles, handcrafted in Florence.
Upon their return from military service, now adults, they maintained their close friendship, but their professional paths took different directions: Luigi became a highly regarded professional rider, in motocross but especially in enduro, while Giuseppe founded a company (Fedi Gomme) that specializes in industrial tires (for trucks and buses).
The company specialized in mileage sales, a formula particularly popular with public transport companies and large private fleets, and grew to 52 employees, its own reconditioning facility, and 35 mobile workshops.
In 2009, it was sold to a multinational, to which Giuseppe continued to provide his valuable advice until the end of 2014.
At this point in their careers, Giuseppe and Luigi began seeing each other daily again and sharing their experiences. Giuseppe, reflecting on Luigi's latest work experience with motorcycle mousse, was particularly intrigued by this unusual product and advised Luigi to apply for a patent.
The patent application was granted, but despite all their knowledge in the field, they discovered that no one was willing to share their technical expertise and produce mousse for them.
So, with the aforementioned spirit of two eighteen-year-olds, Giuseppe and Luigi decided to dive straight into the fray, because the challenge was particularly exciting and the goal was clear and categorical: to build high-performance mousses, especially in terms of grip, while limiting product durability.
It took two years of experimentation, endless tests with 26 types of compounds, and a number of molds that we prefer not to quantify, before they got as close as possible to their goal. Now the commitment is to constantly continue experimenting to achieve ever-improving performance... because this is just the beginning!
