Formula is a renowned company, especially in the MTB field, having created the first MTB disc brake in 1993. Formula brakes are considered top-of-the-line by all MTB enthusiasts. The company produces three lines of hydraulic disc brakes with mineral oil, designed for individual disciplines, and a line entirely dedicated to e-bikes. Formula MTB brakes can be made compatible with SRAM and Shimano gears using a separately sold clamp, and the brake master cylinder features a unique, compact, and ergonomic design that allows for effective braking with minimal pressure on the lever. Brake rotors are available in various materials and types. They are available with either a Centerlock or six-bolt mechanism. These discs feature carbon components and ensure maximum lightness and efficiency. FORMULA ROR BRAKES: A line specifically designed for Downhill and Enduro riding, featuring an oval-piston hydraulic disc brake system that delivers the excellent stopping power of four pistons with the lightness of two. FORMULA CURA BRAKES: Specific for MTBs. They are made of lightweight aluminum, with ergonomic brake levers positioned at the same height as the grips, a short distance apart, allowing the rider to brake with just one finger. The position of the master cylinder can be reversed to use the right lever for the front brakes and the left for the rear brakes. FORMULA CURA brakes deliver very high stopping power on downhills, especially when combined with organic pads, which maintain the same stopping power even when overheated. FORMULA R1R BRAKES: the lightest cross-country brakes in the world. They are made of Kevlar and titanium and have 22 mm pistons.
