Enve Wheels

ENVE WHEELS are made of carbon fiber and are lightweight, strong, stiff, comfortable, fast, stable, and durable. The structural design, efficient printing process, and construction method result in sturdy and solid wheels. The holes are printed directly, without drilling the rim in a second step, to avoid breaking the wheel's carbon fibers, making it stronger for the same weight. The weight of the wheel comes solely from the carbon fiber mold; the rims have no internal bladders and are made without the use of paint or fillers. ENVE wheels are stiff in just the right places, and the unidirectional carbon fiber allows for the perfect balance of vertical, lateral, and torsional stiffness. Lateral stiffness affects the way the wheel rolls and manages stresses during cornering and acceleration. Torsional stiffness affects the wheel's acceleration/deceleration capability, and optimizing it allows for efficient power transfer from the pedals to the rim, through the drivetrain, hub, and spokes. Vertical stiffness indicates the degree of deflection experienced by the wheel following compression/impact. ENVE wheels are designed and tested directly on various frame types to immediately reduce aerodynamic drag. The front and rear wheels have different shapes and heights to easily handle the different airflow over the two areas of the bike.
