The SPECIALIZED TARMAC S-WORKS SL8 SHIMANO DI2 is the best bike ever made by Specialized in terms of speed, lightness, and aerodynamics. Aerodynamics, lightness, and speed enable wins in competitions. To achieve speed, a non-compromising combination of aerodynamics, lightness, rigidity, and shock absorption must be created.
The Specialized Ride Science Team has verified that the Tarmac SL8 is the fastest frame on any course: 16.6 seconds over 40 km of flat terrain, 128 seconds faster on the Milano-Sanremo course, 20 seconds faster on the Tourmalet climb.
The bike is equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 Di2 groupset with power meter, tubeless-ready Roval Rapide CLX II wheels, and integrated Roval Rapide cockpit.

• The front end has been optimized to maximize advantage. The fork crown is positioned rearward relative to the head tube’s upper section to offer much lower aerodynamic resistance. Thanks to the new UCI rules, for the SL8 it has been possible to mount a narrower, more aerodynamic seatpost to ensure that turbulent air in the leg area can flow more easily toward the rear of the bicycle.
• Frame weight: 685 g, 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other World Tour bicycle*. Maximum lightness achievable in the down tube area, seat tube, and rear of the bike. The frame shapes respond so efficiently to stresses that the material thickness could be reduced, eliminating the superfluous.
• The stiffness-to-weight ratio is 33% better than the SL7. The frame is nimble and precise in the most demanding situations and responds immediately and efficiently to pedal inputs. The areas ensuring power transfer and steering precision are stiffer than ever; in the saddle, the Tarmac SL8 is more comfortable, filtering 6% more road shock and allowing you to tackle corners with a sense of agility and balance unique in the road bike world. Same geometry as the SL7 with the same generous 32 mm tire clearance, so you can use a higher-volume tire when needed.
• The bike is equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 Di2 group with power meter, tubeless-ready Roval Rapide CLX II wheels, and integrated Roval Rapide cockpit.
