GENIE—the flying carpet: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 is GENIE. This air-spring technology, patent-pending and invented by us, fulfills the three wishes of every cyclist: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out protection than a standard air spring, and a tunable platform for a playful feel.

THE 'GENIUS': GENIE combines the linear rigidity of a coil spring that improves control through the "hit zone" with the progressive curve of the air spring at the end of travel to avoid bottoming out. Truly, it’s the best of both worlds – coil and air – with extra adjustability. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspension.

WHAT TRAVEL?: With better force management by 16.3% vs. a traditional air-sprung shock, GENIE ensures the Stumpy 15 performs like a bike with greater travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (rear travel 145 mm) and our Enduro (170 mm) both use 101 mm of travel to absorb a 1080 N shock.

GO-TO Traction: Field tests show the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE provides 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung shock because GENIE offers flexible performance, similar to a coil spring, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of time than a typical air spring.

NO BOTTOM-OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events than a standard air spring. On big impacts, you’ll benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of GENIE travel. Thanks to the two-stage behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and gravity of bottom-out events.

PERFECT GEOMETRY: The geometry of this bike offers great capability when needed, agile handling in tight sections, and climbing efficiency. The wide cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and cornering control. The low bottom bracket, relaxed head angle, and optimized fork offset foster stability even on technical terrain.
