The BICI SPECIALIZED EPIC WC PRO is perfect for XC champions and, thanks to an unrivaled combination of efficiency, control, and lightness, it is fast on slippery terrains. Champion Christopher expresses it this way: “This bike gives me everything I could wish for from a hardtail, with the added control and capabilities of a full-suspension.”
To achieve maximum speed and maximum power transfer, a new standard has been set in terms of torsional rigidity and bottom bracket movement. The double-diamond layout is the most sophisticated in Specialized’s history, supporting the goal of rigidity, integrating the shock absorber as a structural element.
The RockShox SID Deluxe WCID (World Cup Integrated Design) shock uses air springs, both positive and negative, independently adjustable, giving the bike the “snap” of a hardtail while adding a weight that eats into the terrain and provides the ability to tailor the setup for a specific route or personal preferences.
The 75 mm of travel of the Epic World Cup behave as if they were much more. When pedaling in firm mode, it offers the same positive travel as a bike with 100 mm travel set with a 25% sag. The optimization of air volumes and damping characteristics allows the Epic WC to handle impacts like bikes with more generous travel. The MegaJounce dedicated pad provides robust end-of-stroke support to manage the most violent impacts.
The BRAIN is positioned in the fork, has Position-Sensitive technology and 15mm of sag, without the need for lockout or actuation levers.
The frame weighs only 1765 g, making the bike light, fast, and nimble. The bike is sold with the new Roval Control SL seatpost, ultralight and rigid.
