BIG CAPACITY: 120mm of travel and progressive geometry make the Epic 8 extremely capable on technical trails, very fast and efficient uphill, and incredibly responsive and quick in acceleration. The torsional and lateral stiffness also ensures perfect handling precision. With a 130mm travel fork, the Epic 8 EVO is comfortable on the roughest descents.
WHAT SHOCKS? : Compared to the previous model, the Epic 8 absorbs 12% more impact and vibrations, so you get tired less and can better use energy to push at the pedals.
RIDE DYNAMICS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team has developed a custom tune for the Epic 8 shock, whose characteristics elevate the holistic riding experience. The tune developed together with leverage ratios and the refreshed kinematics exponentially improve handling.
BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimizing the Epic 8 kinematics, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team reduced motion induced during pedaling by 20% while keeping the suspension active for more effective impact management. Thus the rider can maintain the most efficient pedaling position. The result is the most efficient dual-suspension we’ve ever made.
MORE WITH LESS: With the Epic 8 we did not add a single gram of weight to improve its characteristics. All models now include SWAT 4.0 and an integrated headset lockout to prevent frame damage in case of slides.
